Lucy’s Bridal Boutique is a recently opened bridal dress shop located in the Highland Park neighborhood of Saint Paul, owned and operated by Ngoc Huyen Nguyen, or Lucy. At Lucy’s we will be a team, you will be the star of the team, and Ngoc will be your helpful coach providing her expertise and recommendations. As our reviews show, she has assembled a select number of high quality and reasonably priced gowns that are seldom available elsewhere in Minnesota. Even more important, she has selected dresses from each house that show that designers highest gifts, so that both contrast of style and consistency of quality are maintained.
At Lucy’s we encourage window-shopping. You will never feel pressured to buy anything, you will never feel impatience, you can choose to try on any dress you choose, you can bring all your family and friends—Ngoc insists you bring as many as you can! —and together we will explore the world of high design. Every bride deserves on her wedding day to have the best dress in the world, and Ngoc will show you how you can.
For example, you may want to explore gowns from a single designer. Many brides ask for Oksana Mukha, the Ukrainian design house chosen to create a dress for Swarovski’s anniversary and known for incorporating Swarovski crystals into its designs. You may then discover another designer you prefer, such as Isabell Kristensen, whose London-designed, handmade collection includes minis, “teacup” dresses, and formal crinoline gowns. You might also consider Emine Yildirim, a Turkish textile designer who often embellishes her gowns with Swarovski crystals. At Lucy’s, you are free to explore designs from around the world as the leader of your own search for the perfect dress.
A word on credentials: Lucy’s named after Saint Lucia, Ngoc’s christened name. She has managed her family’s tailor and alterations shop next door for over 20 years and has a well-deserved reputation for fixing wedding dresses that simply refuse to fit the bride. She now applies her expertise in fit, fabric, and style so that brides that visit Lucy’s have the widest possible choice of designer and style of dresses that FIT them. As our reviews have remarked, Lucy’s designers are from all over the world, including many European style houses not available elsewhere in Minnesota, designers who specialize in quality fabric and styles running from avant-garde to traditional to modest all at reasonable prices with true value consistent with high quality.
Lucy’s has participated in shows at the Mall of America, and recently hosted her own runway show at the second ‘grand opening’ of her shop to celebrate her newest designer, Isabell Kristensen.
